Car Parking

The Theatre does not have its own car park. There is an Aldi supermarket next door, but if you choose to use its car park, please be aware of the following:

Before 7pm ALDI permits use of its car park for a maximum of 2 hours. This is enforced very strictly, and you will be fined even if you stay just a minute over 2 hours. Similarly, even if you arrive 1 minute before 7pm, you will still be fined if you stay there for longer than 2 hours.

Before 7pm ALDI operates a ‘no return within 4 hours’ policy. This means that you are not able to park there before 7pm and then drive out, return and re-park (unless, of course, 4 hours have elapsed).

Between 7pm and 7am parking is unrestricted.

Failure to comply with ALDI’s regulations will almost certainly land you a £70 fine; the car park’s monitoring system is electronic and misses nothing.

If you are coming to the Theatre by car, we recommend on-street parking. There are a number of residential streets off Raleigh Road (see map), which are probably your best bet. Please remember that you leave valuables in your car at your own risk.

The Tobacco Factory Theatre is as good an argument as I've ever seen for the importance of the arts in the regeneration of a particular area.
