Free tickets, altruism and exercise!

We are committed to providing local communities in Bristol with easy access to up-to-date information about all the fantastic shows taking place in the Tobacco Factory Theatre. A really important way of doing this is by making sure that all the places on your stomping ground have our brochures and flyers for you to pick up and take home.

Over the last couple of months we’ve been developing how we distribute our flyers, making links with cafes, libraries, bookshops and community centres, telling them about what we do and asking if they’ll stock our leaflets. We’ve also been working on making distribution really volunteer-friendly and we think we’ve come up with a scheme that makes it both easy and enjoyable to support your local theatre.

Do you enjoy being a member of a thriving local community?
Do you enjoy spreading the word about arts events?
Do you have a spare couple of hours every fortnight or so?

Then being a distribution volunteer could be for you!

What does it involve?
As a member of our distribution team, every fortnight or so you would collect a bundle of flyers and posters from the Tobacco Factory Theatre and take them to places in your local community. To help you do this you would receive a clear route map and list of places to visit, along with a handy Tobacco Factory Theatre bag. In return you would benefit from free tickets to see shows and regular social gatherings with other volunteers and theatre staff.

So if you can spare a couple of hours and are keen to help the Tobacco Factory Theatre increase awareness about its shows across Bristol’s local communities, then we’d really love to hear from you. And we’re particularly keen to hear from you if you live in the following postcode areas: BS8/Clifton, BS1/Centre/Stokes Croft, BS6/Redland/Henleaze Westbury Park, BS9/Henleaze/Westbury Park, BS7/Gloucester Road

We will be holding an informal meeting for anyone who’s interested in finding out more on Monday 6 September at 6.30pm in the Theatre Foyer and it would be great to see you there.

If you would like to come along, please email Roxanne at distribution@tobaccofactory.com or call 0117 902 0345 by Friday 3 Sept.

We look forward to seeing you there!
